Requirements
- Define, maintain, and control technical standards for use by Manufacturing Engineers
- Define process control requirements and lead PFMEA activities
- Support the growth of constructive relationships between all departments of the organization and globally
- Mentor and develop the technical abilities of other employees
- Evaluate complex manufacturing processes
- Participate in the evaluation, procurement, and start-up of new capital equipment
- Lead trouble shooting efforts on and off the shop floor
- Maintain technical knowledge by attending educational workshops and reviewing publications
- Travel as needed
- Provide manufacturing and manufacturability input for production planning, design, or repair
- Participate in or lead continuous improvement projects that support the Lean Manufacturing methodology
- Engage with vendors to arrange for purchase of equipment, materials, or parts
- Design layout of equipment and workspace to maximize efficiency
- Takes initiative to solve complex engineering problems and coordinate with other functional areas as needed
- Produce comprehensive and complete engineering technical documentation
- Demonstrate effective communication through interaction with customers
- Lead continuous improvement activities
- Mentor junior manufacturing engineers
- Provide technical guidance to small and mid-size engineering project teams
- Regarded as a 'Go-To' Technical Specialist
