AD&D Systems Modeling and Simulation Engr Staff

The Systems Modeling and Simulation Engineer within Advanced Design & Development (AD&D) is responsible for developing high-fidelity simulation models and environments that support aircraft system integration, flight simulator development, and certification activities for future Part 23 aircraft.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical, Systems Engineering, or related STEM discipline.
• 8+ years of experience in modeling and simulation for aerospace, automotive, or similar systems.
• Strong understanding of the fundamentals of Differential Equations and their numerical solutions methods, electrical circuits, kinematics, and dynamic systems.
• Proficiency in MATLAB, Simulink, and Python.
• Previous experience developing system models and simulations, including off-nominal operating conditions and failure modes.
• Experience with hardware-in-the-loop testing and integration test labs.
• Experience in developing both low and high-fidelity system models spanning both early concept activities up to detailed design activities.
• Experience with experimental data processing and reduction techniques.
• Strong understanding of aircraft systems and FAA Part 23 certification requirements.
• Ability to validate models using lab and flight test data.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in cross-functional teams.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent work planning and issue resolution skills
