Technical Writer II

Technical Writer prepares airplane operational and maintenance documents for publication. Technical content is developed through research and analysis of engineering documents and consultation with subject matter experts. Text, tables, graphs, and illustrations are incorporated into technically accurate, easily understandable manuscripts, which are then reviewed, approved, released, and published.

Requirements

• Associate's or Bachelor’s degree in English, Technical Writing, Technical Communications, Engineering or a related field
• 3 or more years’ experience as a Technical Writer
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, and technical reports
• Private pilot's license, Airframe and Power Plant certificate, or background in aircraft maintenance
