Stationary Engineer, Sewage Plant - Wastewater Enterprise - SFPUC (7372) (904222)

The San Francisco Public Utilities Commission (SFPUC) is seeking a Stationary Engineer to operate and maintain a wide variety of complex machinery and equipment in a sewage disposal plant or pumping station. The ideal candidate will have four years of verifiable journey level Stationary Engineer experience or completion of a recognized four-year stationary engineer Apprenticeship Program. The position is permanent exempt and requires a valid driver's license. The salary is $138,528 and the working hours are 24 hours per day, 365 days per year.

Requirements

• Four years of verifiable journey level Stationary Engineer experience
• Completion of a recognized four-year stationary engineer Apprenticeship Program
• Graduation from a recognized four-year Maritime Academy with a degree in Engineering or technology
• Possession of a 3rd Assistant Marine Engineer's License of any unrestricted horsepower
• Possession of a FAA Airframe or Power Plant Certificate and four years of verifiable experience in an Airframe or Powerplant mechanic or maintenance technician capacity
• Possession of a valid driver's license
• Grade Level I Wastewater Treatment Operator Certificate or an Operator-in-Training Certificate issued by the State of California Water Resources Control Board
• California Grade II Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator Certificate within two years of obtaining a California Grade I Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator Certificate
• California Grade III Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator Certificate within six years of appointment
• Passing the exam to obtain a California Grade III Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator Certificate within six years of appointment
• Six educational points as defined by the State of California Water Resources Control Board
• Verification of Education and Experience
• Possession of a valid driver's license
• Passing the pre-employment drug and alcohol testing
