Job Description
This position will oversee, direct, and coordinate the work of the Financial Reporting staff. The Financial Manager II manages complex accounting and financial reporting functions related to debt, capital assets, and capital projects and leads the preparation of various financial reports.
Requirements
- Interpret, implement, and oversee compliance with new and existing GASB pronouncements
- Direct the preparation and review of the ACFR-level financial statements, notes, and disclosures
- Exercise independent judgment on highly complex accounting, reporting, and compliance issues
- Review and approve journal entries prepared by staff to ensure accuracy and compliance
- Review and approve monthly and quarterly fixed asset and debt reconciliations
