Job Description
The Mayor's Office of Employment Development (MOED) is seeking an experienced Industry Specialist to support the Roads to Careers program, building and maintaining relationships with skilled trades, unions, and apprenticeship programs.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience in the skilled trades (HVAC, Welding, Electrical, Construction, CDL-related fields, etc.) or equivalent combination of education and hands-on industry experience.
- At least 3 years of experience in workforce development and apprenticeship systems.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to network, build, and maintain professional relationships
- Demonstrated ability to develop, foster, and maintain strong working relationships with program participants, MOED staff, employers, unions, and training partners.
