Fire Fighter II/Paramedic

This is a Fire Fighter II/Paramedic position that involves protecting life and property by performing live-fire suppression, rendering emergency medical care, and maintaining fire apparatus. The firefighter must be able to assess patient condition, handle trauma or cardiac emergencies, and clear blocked airways. They must also be able to communicate face-to-face and by radio and telephone, and be able to work effectively with others as a team member.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid New Mexico Driver's License, Class E
• AHA Healthcare Provider CPR certification
• Incident Command Levels 100, 200
• NIMS 700, 800
• IFSAC Firefighter II certification
• New Mexico EMT-Paramedic Licensure
• National Registry EMT-Paramedic Licensure
