Job Description
Gain experience in civil engineering with the City of Brandon. Assist with technical functions, operate survey equipment, and inspect infrastructure.
Requirements
- Valid Manitoba Class 5 driver's license
- Grade 12, G.E.D., C.A.E.C., or Mature High School Diploma
- Currently enrolled in a Civil Engineering Technician/Technology program (optional)
- Previous experience with topographical, layout, and control surveys for civil engineering projects
- Previous experience operating survey instruments (total stations, levels, and GPS)
- Previous experience with materials testing (nuclear densometer and concrete field tests)
- Previous experience with inspecting municipal infrastructure
- Working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and AutoCAD software
