Job Description
The Recreation Leader position is responsible for leading and overseeing the activities of the Recreation Department, promoting the wellbeing of participants in an active, fun, and safe environment. The position requires a commitment to providing a safe, cooperative, and enjoyable environment for program participants.
Requirements
- Emergency (Basic) First Aid/Level C CPR certification
- Successful completion of a Child Abuse Registry Check and Criminal Record Check including Vulnerable Sector Verification
- Grade 12, G.E.D., C.A.E.C., or Mature High School Diploma
- Post-secondary education related to community services field
- Related experience in recreation, programming, education, instruction, sports background
- Previous experience working with youth and volunteers
- Previous experience working in a multi-ethnic setting
