Job Description
The City Engineer's internship program provides students with an opportunity to gain hands-on exposure in areas of Geographic Information System (GIS), Construction, and Engineering. The internship involves working with various areas of the city including construction job sites, project engineering, project administration, field design, and data collection management.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, Construction Management, or closely related field of study
- G.I.S. (Geographic Information Systems) computer software proficiency
- Basic survey techniques knowledge
- Basic mathematical principles knowledge
- Computer skills in Microsoft Office
- AutoCAD and/or MicroStation design software proficiency (preferred)
- Operational characteristics of engineering equipment and tools knowledge
- Principles and procedures of record keeping knowledge
