Job Description
We're committed to bringing passion and customer focus to the business. The Animal Control Officer enforces City Code relating to Animals and resolves animal nuisances while educating the community on animal issues.
Requirements
- Patrols the city to identify and eliminate animal nuisances.
- Responds to and resolves customer complaints in the following areas: animal nuisance, city code violations, animal welfare, rabies control and dangerous animals.
- Impounds and transports stray and other animals, including those who are sick, injured, or potentially dangerous.
- Maintains animal shelter, shelter grounds, vehicle, and equipment.
- Performs general customer service at the Animal Shelter, including, but not limited to, counseling pet owners and prospective adopters, intake of animals and selling licenses.
