The City of Guelph is seeking a Purchasing Agent to assist with purchasing requirements, contracts, leases, and duties as assigned. The successful candidate will work in the Finance Department and report to the Manager of Procurement.
Requirements
- Completion of post-secondary diploma in Materials Management, Business Administration, Supply Chain or related discipline
- Considerable experience in a purchasing role, preferably in the public sector
- One of the following designations: Certified Public Procurement Officer (CPPO), Certified Professional Public Buyer (CPPB), NIGP Certified Procurement Professional (NIGP-CPP), Certified Supply Chain Management Professional (CSCMP), Certified Supply Chain Leader (CSCL)
