Job Description
This is a seasonal laborer position with the City of New Haven, responsible for performing manual and servicing work, including washing automotive and construction equipment, assisting with building maintenance, and performing general groundskeeping tasks.
Requirements
- Graduation from high school
- A minimum of three months experience in general maintenance and/or repair
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to work effectively with other employees and the public
- Ability to learn general maintenance and repair
- General knowledge of vehicle operation
- Ability to maintain safe and efficient work methods
- Ability to keep simple records and enter data in a computer
- Ability to acquire skill in the use of standard equipment and hand tools
