The Directorate of Recreation, Culture and Facilities is responsible for ensuring that the city is healthy, inclusive and dynamic, and that communities, residents and visitors have access to recreational and cultural facilities, programs, events and services that allow them to enjoy the benefits that the city has to offer. The incumbent is responsible for contributing to ensuring the maintenance and cleanliness of locker rooms, storage rooms, showers, toilets and areas around the pool.

Requirements

• Secondary school student - At least completed 10th year of schooling
• General First Aid Certificate, valid on the CPR Level C and DEAE
• LAPHO/NAI Accessibility Training
• Current National Lifeguard Pool Certificate desirable
• Valid lifeguarding and water rescue instructor certificate is an asset
• Advanced Life Saving Instructor Certificate current desirable
• Relevant health and safety legislation, including workers' rights and duties
• Cash register usage
