The City of Philadelphia Law Department seeks a licensed attorney to join the Commercial Law Unit’s Health, Human & Community Services Division. The ideal candidate will perform duties such as advising and representing City departments in contracting and grant compliance matters, and providing legal counsel on compliance with relevant laws, policies, and contract and grant terms and conditions.
Requirements
- Licensed attorney with a law degree from an ABA accredited law school
- Member in good standing of the Pennsylvania Bar, or currently eligible to be admitted by reciprocity to practice in Pennsylvania
- At least one year of relevant experience in a legal setting (for Assistant City Solicitor position)
- Minimum of four years of relevant legal experience (for Deputy City Solicitor position)
- Knowledge of laws, legal codes, government regulations, executive orders, agency rules and processes
- Ability to analyze large amounts of information, determine relevant facts, and propose viable solutions
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a demonstrated ability to identify and analyze legal issues within complex fact patterns
- Ability to use computer programs such as PowerPoint or MS Office
