Job Description
This position is responsible for manual work of a routine nature as a member of a maintenance crew and involves heavy physical labor.
Requirements
- Operates front-end loader, tractor backhoe and other equipment
- Assists in semi-skilled work by handling tools, carrying or lifting lumber, mixing or placing cement and asphalt concrete, performing simple repairs or running errands
- Maintains and repairs equipment
- May repair and maintain City sidewalks and grounds
- Assists maintenance department with corrective and preventive maintenance activities as directed
- Performs housekeeping duties on maintenance vehicles and equipment as assigned
- Performs other related duties as assigned
