Job Description
The Accounting Analyst performs essential day-to-day financial tasks ensuring accurate transaction processing and compliance with the Municipal Act, By-Laws, and Public Sector Accounting Standards (PSAB). The position is actively involved in preparing journal entries, performing account reconciliations, and maintaining the general ledger.
Requirements
- Degree or Diploma in Accounting or Business, or related field.
- Two to three years' experience in the field.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft office including spreadsheet application and advanced skills in computerized accounting software.
- Experience with data processing and computerized financial system.
- Requires strong oral and written skills (tact, diplomacy, good judgment).
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Extreme confidentiality.
