Job Description
The Summer Student - Inclusive Recreation Integration Support Worker is responsible for supervising children with special needs and ensuring their inclusion in city-wide recreation programs. The role involves adapting programs, providing support and instruction to camp staff, and ensuring a safe and enjoyable environment for participants.
Requirements
- Post-secondary student in a related child development field
- Minimum of 8 months but less than 1 year of related experience
- Current Standard First Aid, CPR-C and AED certificates
- AODA Accessibility/IASR Training
- Crisis Prevention/Intervention training certificate
- Alternative Communication Systems (ASL- American Sign Language) training desirable
- Ergonomic Lifts and Transfers training an asset
