The 1st Grade Bilingual Teacher (Certified) position involves creating a flexible instructional program and class environment conducive to learning and personal growth. The teacher will establish effective rapport with students, motivate pupils to develop attitudes and knowledge needed for further advancement, and provide students with educational activities and experiences to enable them to fulfill their potential for intellectual, emotional, physical and social growth.

- Model citizenship and lessons for students
- Use effective Classroom Management techniques
- Report any pertinent information to the Principal in case of child endangerment, neglect, or abuse
- Establish, share, and maintain standards of pupil behavior
- Anticipate and effectively address unforeseen crises
- Evaluate pupil's academic and social growth
- Identify pupil needs and make appropriate referrals
- Provide individualized and small group instruction
- Assist students in assessing and enhancing their study methods and habits
- Produce formal and informal testing to evaluate student success
- Coordinate and manage extracurricular duties
- Establish communication rapport with parents, students, principals, and teachers
- Create and maintain a professional relationship with colleagues, students, parents and community members
- Model professional, moral, and ethical standards
