Second in Science

An ambitious and high-performing Second in Science is required to support the leadership and development of a successful Science department. The successful candidate will combine a passion for Science with the drive to contribute strategically to departmental improvement.

Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Proven record of successful classroom teaching within Science at KS3 and KS4
• Strong subject knowledge and the ability to inspire students of all abilities
• Demonstrated capacity to support leadership and contribute to departmental development
• Experience using assessment data to raise attainment and monitor progress
• High expectations of student behaviour, engagement and achievement
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people
