Job Description
We're looking for a Senior Product Development AI Engineer to join our Cortellis Drug Discovery Intelligence team in Barcelona, where you'll work on high-impact backend services enhanced with AI capabilities.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field
- At least 6 years of professional experience building and maintaining scalable backend systems using Java and Node.js
- At least 2–3 years of recent, hands-on experience delivering AI-powered features or applications in production environments
- At least 2 years of practical experience working with Large Language Models (LLMs), AI services, or agentic workflows applied to real-world use cases
- At least 2 years of experience designing, testing, and improving reliable AI-enabled systems
- At least 3 years of experience delivering end-to-end product features—from initial concept and prototyping through to production—within cross-functional engineering teams
