Commercial Shipping Market Analyst (Crude market)

As Senior Analyst, you will play a key role in providing market data, analysis and insights, as well as help prospective new business opportunities. You will identify and analyse shipping market trends and economic data to inform market outlook, produce reports and presentations, and engage with brokers and clients.

Requirements

• Proven market analysis experience within the shipping industry
• Experience in the Crude arena will be advantageous and is preferred
• Strong IT skills, proficient in using MS excel, PowerBI, powerpoint & word
• Highly numerate with strong analytical skills
• Strong focus on accuracy and attention to detail
• Ability to analyse large amounts of data quickly and accurately
• Demonstrable analytical and report development abilities
• Logical thinker with a genuine interest and resourcefulness to understand what information is important then disseminate this information to the relevant audience(s)
• Ability to take complex data and themes and translate this into easily understood analysis for the relevant audience(s)
• Previous experience in providing data driven business insights an advantage
• Extensive experience in delivering presentations
• Organised, able to multi-task and work to tight deadlines
• Commercially minded, able to produce work that adds value to existing client portfolios and supports in showcasing our services to prospective clients
• Self-motivated and proactive approach to work, and able to work autonomously
• Ability to challenge and think laterally
• Adaptable to changing priorities
