The Trainee Broker role involves supporting the broker desk during the daily trading cycle, back-up for broker confirmations, and assisting the office manager as needed in daily tasks. Training will be provided.
Requirements
- Compile analysis of prior day's trading volumes and enter data into corresponding spreadsheets
- Update and maintain Wallboard market information
- Learn and utilize the Bloomberg terminal and Link page
- Generate ranking reports and revenue reports weekly
- Execute relevant reports for both internal use and client submission
- Assist brokers in writing up daily transactions as they occur in real time
- Check Daily transaction reports for accuracy
- Update daily volumes and Link percentage of physical and financial market
- Input and save all Argus data for relevant analyses
- Clear trades as needed through relevant exchange portals
- Enter customer transactions into E-Confirm platforms as needed
- Answer phones throughout the day as needed
- Maintain up to date market information throughout the day
- Develop understanding of the role of a Broker in the domestic crude market
- Earn Series 3 License
- Earn Series 30 License
- Generate, assist with and send out Link Crude Daily Report, End of Day and Canadian Report
- Updating settlement prices for Forward curve
- Manage distribution lists for all LDS reports
