Job Description
Clatsop County is seeking a Building Official to provide leadership and administration of the Building Codes Division, ensuring the consistent application and enforcement of state and county building regulations. The Building Official will supervise, plan, and coordinate inspection and administrative support activities, and be responsible for compliance of plan reviews, construction permitting, inspections, and building code enforcement.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in building technology or a related field
- Four (4) years of progressively responsible work experience in building inspection, code administration or enforcement, or construction
- State of Oregon Inspector Certification (OIC)
- Oregon A-Level certifications (SIA, MIA, PEA, PEF)
- Oregon Residential certifications (CAS, CAX)
- Ability to qualify for State of Oregon Building Official certification within six (6) months of hire
- Must possess and maintain driving privileges in the state of Oregon
