Job Description
The Animal Control Officer position is responsible for enforcing County Animal Services Ordinances, investigating animal cruelty and neglect charges, and promoting compliance with Clay County ordinances regulating animal treatment.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Minimum of one year of experience in animal control, veterinary medicine, public health, or law enforcement
- Certification as an Animal Control Officer within one year of employment
- Euthanasia Certification course completion within eighteen months of employment
