Power Systems Technical Consultant will work closely with utilities, ISOs/RTOs, and grid operators across the US, applying advanced simulations and monitoring tools to help them solve stability and compliance challenges.
Requirements
- Degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, or related field.
- Knowledge of US reliability standards (NERC, FERC, ISO/RTO interconnection requirements).
- Strong understanding of dynamic stability challenges: oscillations, low inertia, inter-area modes, and renewable integration.
- Experience with simulation tools such as PSS®E, PSCAD, or PowerFactory.
- Excellent communication skills, able to present complex concepts to both engineers and executives.
- Proactive and ambitious with the drive to grow into a Technical Lead role.
- Experience with synchrophasor (PMU) data and oscillation detection methods.
- Familiarity with ISO/RTO operations (e.g., CAISO, ERCOT, PJM, MISO, NYISO).
- Exposure to compliance studies, grid codes, and interconnection processes.
