Sr. Specialist, Environmental

The Sr. Specialist, Environmental works with Facility Management and Staff to ensure compliance with all site environmental programs, including management of hazardous waste, petroleum products, chemicals, spill prevention and control, storm water run-off, etc.

Requirements

• Supports and emphasizes the importance of safety and environmental programs and ensures regulatory compliance.
• Assists with the preparation of environmental regulatory reports to local, state and federal agencies.
• Recognizes problems, informs environmental manager of concerns and helps to resolve them.
• Assists with creation of documents, including reports, memos, graphs, charts, tables, etc.
• Assists in the development and implementation of site-specific programs and procedures including, but not limited to, SPCC plans.
• Assists with the maintenance of relationships with local and state regulatory agencies.
• Assist Facilities with data input, task completion and compliance reviews for Environmental Compliance Management System.
• Assists Facilities with maintaining compliance with site environmental permits.
• Keep the construction and operations management updated on existing or modified environmental regulations that may impact construction or operations.
