Fleet Manager

Fleet Manager responsible for managing fleet equipment and teams of technicians for preventative maintenance and repair. Responsibilities include purchasing vehicles, scheduling maintenance, and developing methods to decrease cost and improve efficiency.

Requirements

• Purchase vehicles to expand and/or enhance the fleet
• Schedule regular maintenance on all vehicles
• Order urgent or emergency repairs as needed
• Establish efficient routes and transportation schedules
• Coordinate Drivers and Mechanics when setting employee schedules
• Manage vehicle licensure and registration
• Ensure all fleet members have proper licensure and up-to-date training
• Monitor Drivers to ensure adherence to schedules and proper driving practices
• Search for, hire, and train new Drivers
• Provide reports to management on budgeting, schedules, maintenance and fleet progress
• Develop methods to decrease cost and improve efficiency
