Maintenance Technician

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the repair and maintenance of machinery and production equipment at Ferrous Processing and Trading's operation in Detroit, Michigan. The position involves ensuring adherence to safety standards, visually inspecting and repairing machines, and performing cleaning duties.

Requirements

• High School Diploma/GED and must be at least 18 years of age.
• Minimum of one year of experience as a machine repair technician.
• 2 year trade school preferred.
• Experience with mobile equipment repair preferred.
• Basic knowledge of mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently, self motivated and self-directed.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to maintain accurate records.
• Ability to follow oral and written communication.
• Ability to climb ladders or steps to reach objects.
• Ability to endure physical and outdoor work on a daily basis.
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
• Work cooperatively with other employees and the public.
• Pre-Employment background, physical, and hair drug screen required.
