The Mechanic is responsible for the repairs and maintenance of trucks and heavy-duty machinery, ensuring adherence to safety standards and performing repairs on engines, brakes, suspensions, transmissions, and electrical equipment.
Requirements
- High School Diploma/GED and must be at least 18 years of age.
- Valid driver’s license, CDL preferred.
- Experience as a diesel mechanic and experience with hydraulic systems preferred.
- Mechanic license or equivalent experience.
- Ability to work independently, self-motivated and self-directed.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to maintain accurate records
- Ability to follow oral and written communication
- Ability to climb ladders or steps to reach objects
- Ability to endure physical and outdoor work on a daily basis.
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
- Work cooperatively with other employees and the public
- Must be able to work rotating shifts
- Must be able to work in an environment where routinely exposed to dust, dirt, vibrations, extreme climate and changes in weather.
