Utility Person

As a Utility Person at Cleveland-Cliffs Steel, your contributions will be visible all around you, impacting people for generations to come. The primary functions of the position are to clean doorjambs, doorsills, machine faces, frames, faceplate, and oven door seals on the battery ovens.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent required and must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must be able to perform simple tasks involving physical labor using simple hand tools including shovel, broom and jamb bar, etc. and the ability to lift in excess of 25 lbs.
• Must be able to read, understand and follow safety information, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Must be able to work at heights, work in extreme heat and cold, and around hazardous chemicals.
