Job Description
The ITS and Traffic Operations Engineer supports the implementation, operation, and on-going maintenance of transportation technologies used across the Traffic Management Department. This role offers hands-on experience with cutting-edge technologies and innovative strategies that are new to the state, providing an excellent opportunity to build technical skills and grow professionally.
Requirements
- Registered Professional Engineers license in Indiana or Engineer-in-Training (EIT) or Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) certification
- Valid Driver's License
- Extensive knowledge of civil engineering theories, principles, methods, and procedures
- Broad knowledge of planning, design, or construction of highway or transportation project features
- Extensive knowledge of federal and state laws, rules, regulations, and procedures governing incumbents filed of specialization
