Senior Data Engineer (m/f/x)

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Senior Data Engineer who will design, build, and scale our enterprise data platform ensuring reliable, secure, and high-quality data availability for analytics and AI initiatives.

What You Will Do

Architect, build, and operate scalable data platforms (lakehouse/warehouse) and data pipelines supporting analytics and ML use cases; own end-to-end data workflows: ingestion (batch/streaming), transformation, storage, cataloguing, and delivery — ensuring reliability, performance and cost-efficiency

Requirements

• 5+ years of Data Engineering experience, owning complex data systems
• Strong in Python and SQL
• Experience with Java/Scala/Rust a plus
• Hands-on cloud data platform expertise (e.g., Azure Synapse, Fabric, Databricks)
• Deep understanding of ETL/ELT, data modeling, data governance and security
• Solid DevOps mindset (Docker/Kubernetes, IaC, CI/CD, monitoring)
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• Fluent in English (German is a plus)
