Job Description
APL Maritime is seeking a Superintendent, Technical (AML) to manage an assigned fleet of vessels. The role involves ensuring ships are at optimal operational readiness, adhering to regulations, and optimizing vessel performance through risk assessment and compliance. This position requires strong maritime and technical skills, as well as effective communication and teamwork.
Requirements
- Safety-first mindset
- Good working knowledge of vessels and its systems
- Expert knowledge of Marine/Technical Operations from shore & shipboard perspectives
- Experienced in marine engineering from shore & shipboard perspectives
- Expert in Regulatory (USCG/Flag, PSC and the International Maritime Organization) and Classification Society rules
- Knowledge and understanding of ISO and ISM as applicable
- Technologically proficient with strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and more
- Fluent in English (required)
- Effective ability to work independently or as part of a larger team
