Heavy Duty Mechanic / Technician

Melbourne North Truck Centre is seeking experienced Heavy Vehicle Technicians to join their workshop service team. The role involves repairing, servicing, and inspecting engines, gearboxes, brakes, diffs, etc. on a wide range of trucks, buses, and trailers. The successful candidate will have a minimum certificate 3 mechanical trade certificate, experience in the Heavy Vehicle industry, and the ability to work unsupervised and as part of a customer-focused team.

Requirements

• Minimum certificate 3 mechanical trade certificate/qualification
• Experience in the Heavy Vehicle industry
• Experience with American, European or Japanese drivelines (highly regarded)
• Current HC/HR drivers licence (an advantage but not essential)
• Ability to work unsupervised and as part of a customer-focused team
• Pride in work with an ability to work to targets and high standards
• High levels of motivation, reliable with a can-do, positive attitude
• Effective communication skills with a commitment to workplace safety
