The Senior Investor Relations Advisor role is a key member of the Canadian Natural IR team, acting as a liaison between senior management and shareholders, analysts, and other stakeholders. The role requires a strong understanding of capital markets and the upstream oil and natural gas sector, with the ability to translate complex operational and financial information into clear investor-focused messaging.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related discipline; CPA, CFA, or MBA considered an asset
- 5 - 20 years of industry experience, with a background in investor relations, equity research, corporate finance/accounting, or capital markets experience
- Strong understanding of the upstream oil and natural gas industry, including reserves, operations, cost structures, and commodity dynamics
- Deep knowledge of financial statements, valuation methodologies, and capital markets
- Experience with public company disclosure requirements and regulatory environments (e.g., TSX/NYSE, NI 51-102, SEC reporting)
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with ability to engage senior executives and external stakeholders
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Ability to synthesize complex information into clear, investor-friendly messaging
- High degree of professionalism, discretion, and integrity, with the proven ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines
