Job Description
Coalition is hiring an Applied Scientist II to build and improve machine learning and GenAI models that power underwriting decisions. The ideal candidate will have a Ph.D. or MS in a quantitative or computational field, 5+ years of experience developing and deploying ML- and data-based solutions, and strong proficiency in Python and core ML libraries.
Requirements
- Build and advance machine learning and GenAI models
- Drive and execute ML projects end-to-end
- Design and implement ML pipelines
- Apply state-of-the-art ML and GenAI workflows
- Own model quality and robustness
- Survey and incorporate recent advances in ML/GenAI research
- Collaborate closely with underwriters, product, data, and engineering partners
- Communicate methods and results clearly
- Contribute to a culture of scientific and data excellence
