Job Description
Teach students the fundamentals of operating a car behind the wheel, provide instruction on the rules of the road, and help students develop confidence in their driving skills. The majority of lessons take place in the afternoons and weekends. Paid training is provided to obtain state-required driving instructor certification.
Requirements
- A genuine passion for helping people learn
- Ability to remain calm in a learning environment
- Valid State Driver's License
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- 10 years of legal driving experience
- Ability to pass a background check, drug screen, and reference check
- Strong safety mindset and strong reasoning ability
- Ability to give clear instruction, coach, communicate effectively to others
- Ability to focus for extended periods of time
Benefits
- Paid training to obtain state-required driving instructor certification
- Compensation at a training rate of $16.90 per hour during the training period
- Full hourly rate of $20.00-$22.00 per hour after training
