
Job description
The Miner 1 is an integral part of the mine operations at the Silvertip Mine, working in a Northern British Columbia mining environment on a two week in/two week out shift rotation. The role prioritizes safety, teamwork, career development and growth.
Face preparation and mark-up, operation of Electric Hydraulic Jumbo, and assist with all other activities involved in the mining cycle. Perform pre-operational checks, operate equipment according to Safe Operating Procedures, and monitor equipment and processes.
Five years' experience in underground cut/fill operations, ability to read and follow mine plan documentation, and valid BC Underground Blasting Ticket are required. Physically fit and willing to work a two-week rotation schedule with 12-hour shifts per day at a remote camp.
