The Director, Software Engineering will oversee data engineering and core platform engineering functions, ensuring the technical foundation supports rapid growth and innovation.
Requirements
- 15+ years of experience managing software engineering teams in a fast-paced, agile environment
- 12-15 years experience in designing and operationalizing software products at scale
- High proficiency of both written and verbal English communication
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field or equivalent experience
- Proven track record of delivering high-quality software on time and within budget
- Proven success in growing and managing geographically distributed teams using successful recruiting, employee development, and retention
- Prior experience in B2B enterprise SaaS startup
- Experience with US Healthcare standards and regulations, e.g. FHIR/HL7, HIPAA
- Experience with Payment Integrity (PI), Claims data processing and applied ML in healthcare or life sciences
- Experience building and operating a compliant, secure data lake or lakehouse
- Payer focused health-tech experience strongly preferred
- Design and implement the PHI data access controls
- Ability to partner with business to represent Technology during the client calls.
- Nice-to-haves: Cloud Native applications (AWS Preferred), Multi-tenant/microservices architecture, Familiarity with [tools, platforms, or methodologies], Agile methodologies, DevOps and SRE practices knowledge, Implemented Security by design, Enabled automation framework for unit, integration and performance testing, Demonstrated success in (stretch area) Building global partnerships and working with global operating model, Ability to commute/relocate
