Supports new product introduction or transfer to high volume manufacturing production until the product end-of-life. Provides technical ownership of assigned product during manufacturing and qualification.
Requirements
- A Bachelor of Science in Engineering (Electronics, Electrical, Chemical, etc) or related disciplines such as Bachelor of Science in Physics or Chemistry, preferably with Master's Degree
- At least 3-5 years of experience in product engineering, manufacturing, or related role from Semiconductor or Electronics / Opto-electronics and Fiber Optics Industry
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and product lifecycle management
- Ability to read and interpret product drawings and specifications
- Experience with root cause analysis tools (e.g., 5 Whys, Fishbone, FMEA)
- Familiarity with quality systems (ISO, Six Sigma, SPC)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, data driven decision making mindset
- Experienced on product cost roadmap and cost reduction activities through alternative material qualifications and process improvements
- Experience on product testing or must have basic understanding of simple electrical circuit testing
- Adept in business processes like Engineering Change Review and Orders, Temporary Deviations, Product Qualification Reviews, and other related business processes
- With knowledge of basic product reliability principles. Experience on reliability testing and would be able to identify proper reliability requirements for a specific product’s qualification needs
- Possess good understanding of database, coding experience is plus
