Maintenance Technician

The Maintenance Technician will perform preventative maintenance, repairs, and upgrades to ensure equipment operates properly with minimal downtime. The role requires a strong mechanical ability, communication skills, and flexibility in work schedule.

Requirements

• Associates or technical degree in a mechanical field or equivalent work experience
• 3-5 years of experience in a maintenance position
• Must be able to understand and operate all coating equipment
• Must work well with all operators, supervisors and engineers to support customer needs
• Listens and responds to issues and concerns presented by the department
• Skilled in all mechanical applications including electric, plumbing, welding/soldering, metal working, mechanical tools, test instruments and general repairs
• Proficient use of MS office programs
• Strong “hands on” mechanical abilities
• Must communicate with various operators, vendors, suppliers, and engineers
• Requires flexibility in work schedule including extended hours, weekends, holidays and cell phone coverage as necessary to support a 24/7 operation
• Good understanding of high vacuum practices
• Requires high concentration levels with high attention to detail
