Thin Film Coating Maintenance Technician

This role is responsible for ensuring equipment is operating properly by performing preventative maintenance, repairs and upgrades to provide minimal equipment downtime or loss of production. The candidate will also assist in the development and upgrade of process equipment and stay abreast of new methods and procedures to improve processes and/or equipment.

Requirements

• Associates or technical degree in a mechanical field preferred or equivalent work experience
• 3-5 years of experience in a maintenance position
• Must be able to understand and operate all coating equipment
• Must work well with all operators, supervisors and engineers to support customer needs
• Strong “hands on” mechanical abilities
• Must communicate with various operators, vendors, suppliers, and engineers
• Requires flexibility in work schedule including extended hours, weekends, holidays and cell phone coverage as necessary to support a 24/7 operation
• Good understanding of high vacuum practices
• Requires high concentration levels with high attention to detail
