Milling Groundperson

We're seeking a Milling Groundperson to assist in the creation of building the roads of tomorrow. The successful candidate will operate and control ground functions on the Milling Machine while maintaining the desired depth and slope as required. The role will involve machine maintenance, communication, and ensuring a safe working environment.

Requirements

• Valid class 5 driver's license with a clean driver's abstract
• Ability to travel and work on weekends as needed
• Equipment operation experience in road construction
• Mechanical aptitude with ability to troubleshoot with assistance
• Experience on a milling crew is considered an asset
• Knowledge of grades: cross slops, super elevations, offset grades, swales, etc. is considered an asset
• Ability to operate in a fast paced and demanding environment in a safe and effective manner
• Ability to communicate effectively and work well with others; team player who is willing to help in all areas; excellent customer service skills
• Must have high attention to detail and the ability to work and think critically
