Screed Operator

The Screed Operator will proficiently operate various types of manual and automatic paving screeds, with knowledge and experience in proper setup, operation and maintenance of Niveltronic or Topcon grade and slope automatic systems, and experience in all aspects of asphalt mix applications.

Requirements

• Estimating overall quantity for the project
• Using automatic grade controls
• Manually setting angle and depth of screed
• Communicating with asphalt paving operator
• Observing distribution of material over road surfaces
• Verifying depth specifications of compacted asphalt
• Maintaining the pace and continuity of the paving job
• Performing daily maintenance and safety checks on equipment
