Part - Time Instructor, Dental Assisting - FY 2026

Part-time instructors teach dental assisting courses at the College of Southern Nevada, following a curriculum that meets the objectives of the course. The instructor is responsible for evaluating student progress, assigning grades, and maintaining a professional development portfolio. The position is not guaranteed, and no reimbursement for travel expenses is provided.

Requirements

• Valid and current Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) credential issued by the Dental Assisting National Board (DANB)
• Recent experience in four-handed dentistry
• Current CPR for health care providers certification
• Baccalaureate degree for didactic instruction (within three years of initial hire)
• 5 years full-time clinical dentistry work experience
