The College of Southern Nevada seeks a Part-Time Instructor to teach Machining courses, including Metrology, Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing, Machining, CNC Milling and Turning, and CADD. Responsibilities include lecture and lab instruction, syllabus development, student advisement, and attending staff meetings.
Requirements
- Associate of Applied Science degree in Machining or related engineering field
- OR 5 years of relevant industry experience
- 10 years work experience in Machining and or Manufacturing or Industrial Technologies
- 2 years experience teaching in Career and Technical Education
- Leadership/ Management Experience
- Experience teaching on-line/hybrid classes, Canvas
- Experience creating college curriculum
- Experience developing an industrial lab in a college setting, such as a Machining, Manufacturing, or Mechanical Technologies
- Experience working in diverse multicultural situations
- Community college or technical school teaching experience
- Excellent presentation skills including strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to motivate students of diverse backgrounds and learning styles
- Computer literate in MS Office
- Excellent planning and organizational skills; ability to meet deadlines
- Industrial Certifications such as NIMS, NC3
