Part - Time Instructor, Microbiology - FY 2026

The College of Southern Nevada is hiring a part-time instructor in Microbiology for various campuses, responsible for teaching lectures and labs, developing course materials, and evaluating student mastery of skills. Required qualifications include a master's degree in Biological Sciences or a related field, teaching experience, and ability to use educational technologies.

Requirements

• Teach transferable, entry-level Microbiology lectures and/or laboratories
• Develop syllabi and course materials as directed by the Lead Faculty Member and/or Lab Coordinator
• Evaluate student mastery of skills and competencies required by course outcomes
• MS in Biological Sciences or a closely related field from an accredited College or University
• Experience teaching Microbiology Lectures
• Ability to use educational technologies such as Learning Management Systems and PowerPoint
• Ability and willingness to use email for official communications
• BS in Biological Sciences or a closely related field from an accredited College or University
• Experience teaching Microbiology labs or experience in a laboratory situation
• Ability to use educational technologies such as Learning Management Systems and PowerPoint
