Music Writer

Collider is looking for a Music Writer to create original high-quality content in a timely manner, with responsibilities including choosing article topics, researching and writing features, and pitching article topics to the Editorial team.

Requirements

• Educational Background in journalism or a related field
• 2 years of experience in producing entertainment and related content
• In-depth familiarity with and fierce passion for the music industry, especially the latest Music
• Experience with SEO practices
• Experience with a custom CMS, preferred
• Familiarity with music marketing, social media virality (TikTok, Instagram Reels, etc.)
• Experience covering events like Coachella, Lollapalooza, The Grammys, or SXSW
• Connections with insiders and performers, and a history of conducting interviews with artists
• Knowledge of platforms like Spotify, Apple Music, SoundCloud, Bandcamp
