Colorado Access is seeking a Business Intelligence Analyst II - Finance to help shape their vision and support their mission. The role will involve working with Finance and cross-functional stakeholders to understand analytical and reporting needs and deliver accurate, actionable business intelligence solutions.
Requirements
- Partner with Finance and cross-functional stakeholders to understand analytical and reporting needs
- Gather, analyze, and document reporting and analytical requirements through research, data analysis, and stakeholder collaboration
- Translate complex internal and external business intelligence requests into high-quality analytical products using the most credible and efficient data sources
- Design, develop, and maintain recurring and ad hoc financial and operational reports, dashboards, and analyses using SQL, Power BI, SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), and Excel
- Develop, optimize, and maintain complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and views to extract, transform, and analyze financial, claims, enrollment, capitation, and utilization data
- Analyze complex datasets to identify trends, variances, risks, and opportunities related to budgeting, forecasting, rate setting, claims billing, cost analysis, and overall financial performance
- Support rate-setting activities under the guidance of the Manager of Financial Analysis
- Ensure accuracy, integrity, and consistency of data through validation, reconciliation, and quality assurance processes
- Identify, document, and assist in resolving data quality issues
- Identify opportunities to automate reporting processes, improve data workflows, and enhance self-service analytic capabilities
- Maintain documentation of reports, data sources, business logic, and analytical methodologies
- In coordination with department management, support designated elements of the Company’s Strategic Plan as identified focus areas for this position
